Meet the Director: Bevin Carter

Hi, I'm Bevin! I am originally from Chicago and moved to Nevada a little over a year ago. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in Early Childhood Development and Biology, as well as a master's degree in occupational therapy. I am a certified Occupational Therapist and am currently working toward earning my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.

I have been working with children for over 10 years, and it is truly my passion. I love helping children learn, grow, and reach their full potential in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Building positive relationships with children and their families is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, and I am excited to be a part of your child's early learning journey.

  • "All of the girls who work at Thompson center smart start are so patient and kind to the children. Mrs. Bevin, the director, is so attentive and understanding. My daughter is autistic and we have had literally no problems with them understanding her personality and quirks. Thank you so much to all of the staff!"
