Renown Health Funds New Mental Health Tween Program in Carson Valley

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada have been awarded $9,900 from Renown Health’s FY25 Better Together Community Benefit Grant to assist with addressing one of the community’s most pressing challenges — mental health. In partnership with the Suicide Prevention Network, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada will roll out a brand-new mental health program for 6th-8th graders at the Wray Family Clubhouse in Fall of 2025. The Suicide Prevention Network will host bi-monthly group counseling sessions for our Club members, an annual training for the Club staff, and quarterly parent workshops to provide parents the necessary tools to educate families on awareness and prevention. This program is set to roll out after the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year and is free for all Club members and their families. We are deeply grateful for Renown Health’s generosity and for Suicide Prevention Network’s partnership. This meaningful contribution empowers us to expand our mental health services to support our Club Members, staff, and families.
